It's one way you can get even closer to the Festival and make a very real contribution. Our Friends receive some very special benefits:

The opportunity to book Festival events ahead of the general public from 11-17 November
Reduced ticket prices - purchase one ticket to most Festival events at the special Friends' price. Friends pricing and preferential booking is not available online or by telephone. Bookings can be made via mail, fax, email or at Ticketek agencies nationwide.
Friends' newsletters - offering Festival insights and information
Access to a unique programme of special Friends' tours - visits to private art collections and 'behind the scenes' tours at places of architectural, cultural and historical significance.

How do I join?

You can become a Friend by filling out the booking form in your programme or download it here (PDF, 2.2MB). Scan the form and email to Ticketek, or purchase over the counter at a Ticketek outlet.

Single Friends Membership $65
Double Friends Membership $120*

*Double Friends must reside at a single mailing address.

Every Festival, The Friends sponsor the production of a major Festival event. In 2010 the Friends are proud to support the renowned Freiburg Baroque Orchestra deemed one of the finest period ensembles in the world. Your membership helps to make this happen.

The Festival and its Friends have never been more important to Wellington and to the arts, than right now. When you become a Friend you befriend your city in a practical way - by helping its most important cultural event and directly supporting the arts.

2010 Friends' Tours

The Friends' tours are a keenly anticipated part of the Festival - thanks to a wonderful group of Wellingtonians who open their doors to their private art collections and give us an insight into their work and homes. The 2010 programme again incorporates the best of art, architecture, music and design. Bookings for tours can only be made by Friends - another wonderful reason to become a Friend. Please note, tours book out early so be in quick or join now to make sure you receive information early for Festival 2012.
